In a first-ever technology pairing, Honda has mated plug-in battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell electric in the all-new 2025 CR-V e:FCEV.

In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Shifted earlier focus to all-electric Focus in 2011 with Magna. No announced plans.
