Chicago Transit Authority orders 20 Proterra electric buses for $32M

The Chicago Transit Board awarded a $32-million contract to Proterra for the purchase of 20 new, all-electric buses. CTA expects to begin receiving the first buses by the end of 2018, which will begin service along one of CTA’s busiest bus routes—the #66 Chicago route.

Chicago awards $13.4M contract to Motiv Power Systems for 20 Class 8 electric refuse trucks

Illinois Governor launches EV fast-charging network, currently US’ largest

Through the Chicago-Area EV Infrastructure Project, 26 fast-chargers have been installed, with 73 total fast-chargers planned.
