Chevrolet dealers in all 50 states in the US are now taking orders for the 2012 Chevrolet Volt. The suggested retail price for the Volt will start at $39,995 (or $32,495 assuming a full federal tax credit of $7,500, which is subject to the customer’s eligibility).

The EV press has covered GM’s problems with its new Ultium vehicles in great detail, so now that the company has its new Chevrolet Blazer EV back on the market, it’s only fair that we report on how the company overcame the software issues that forced it to pause sales. The Blazer is eligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit.

Ford has announced plans to increase production of the Mach-E at its Mexico plant 3X over the next two years which suggests sales could reach at least 40,000 in 2022. The Bolt, which is expected to resume production in early March , was on pace until the recall to sell 40,000 units in 2021.

While this is presumably good news for people who have absolutely had it with dealerships marking up their products, some are growing concerned by how much electric vehicle inventories are outpacing their gasoline-reliant counterparts.
