Porsche 914 EV Conversion

I ran out and purchased several 1-guage pre-constructed battery cables from Napa today to wire the batteries together, but they were very expensive (16 of them at $12.95 FreeGeek sells those supplies for about $20 ($10 if you volunteer more than four hours there - cheap!). I'm curious what else is in this shipment.

Audi e-Tron GT – the BEV guts of the regular e-Tron (also shared with Porsche’s Taycan) in a coupe-inspired four-door body. General Motor eCrate conversion kits – by late 2021 GM plans to offer battery and motor kits for classic cars, allowing an easy EV conversion. Look out Porsche Macan! Due in 2022.

At that price it just sneaks in under the government’s FBT exemption, which allows for electric cars below $89,332 to pay no fringe benefits tax when purchased via a novated lease. None of which will be cheap, the Polestar 3 is priced from $132,900 before on-roads. Sharing its architecture with the Volkswagen ID.3
