Oregon has also adopted the Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) program, which requires new light-duty vehicles to meet reduce emissions of criteria pollutants such as carbon monoxide (CO), volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and oxides of nitrogen (NO x ) and air toxics.
