The city of Brighton UK) plans to install 20 Elektrobay roadside charging stations for plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) over the coming year. Brighton-based Elektromotive developed and manufacturers the innovative Elektrobaycharging station, and will be responsible for the implementation of the project.
Elektromotive will complete the installation of its 100th Elektrobaycharging station in London by the end of next month. There are already 80 Elektrobays in operation in the Capital, with another 40 installed in various locations across the UK. When charging is in progress, the door locks shut to prevent interference.

The forthcoming widespread trial of electric cars will give the infrastructure needed to support them a much needed boost and will mean that the UK will lead the world in the development of a network of roadside electric charging points, electric charging bay installer, Elektromotive says.
The trial will also form part of Elektromotive’s ongoing research and development programme, helping it devise new EV charging facilities for installation at the roadside, in car parks, at homes and in business premises.
