First Drive: 2016 Hyundai Sonata PHEV and HEV

Hyundai will initially offer the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid in the ZEV states—California, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont—in 2015. In charge sustaining mode, the Sonata PHEV is expected to return 40 mpg (5.88 Battery charge mode. Earlier post.).
