Researchers at The Ohio State University have developed a novel strategy to improve the efficiency and performance of non-aqueous lithium-oxygen (Li-air) batteries. Recently, redox shuttles, such as tetrathiafulvalene (TTF + /TTF), have been introduced in the battery electrolyte to address this poor charge transport issue.
