A new high-level white-paper from clean transportation industry group CALSTART shows that US companies that develop and manufacture high-efficiency, low-carbon technologies for heavy-duty vehicles are ready to support more efficient trucks and buses. This whitepaper just scratches the surface of that capability.
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is soliciting proposals for a project to provide assistance in developing and implementing assessment and mitigation activities for diesel sources of black carbon in the Russian Arctic. Previous research on black carbon and climate overlooked that topic.
It aims to develop a web-based policy support tool to help city authorities across the EU to identify and implement the most cost effective strategies for addressing major urban transport challenges, including traffic congestion, urban air quality, carbon dioxide emissions and accidents.
EPA will solicit input from independent experts through a series of technical whitepapers, and in the fall of 2014, EPA will determine how best to pursue further methane reductions from these sources. If EPA decides to develop additional regulations, it will complete those regulations by the end of 2016.
