The Federated States of Micronesia submitted a similar proposal on HFCs as well. HFCs are a big target that can be eliminated through the world’s best environmental treaty, and at a very low cost—maybe $4 billion. Uncontrolled growth of HFCs will offset the benefits of reducing carbon dioxide. C, says IGSD.

The coalition will focus efforts on reducing black carbon, hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), and methane. Fast action on pollutants such as black carbon, ground-level ozone and methane may help limit near-term global temperature rise and significantly increase the chances of keeping temperature rise below 2 °C (3.6 °F), Earlier post.).
