Rio Tinto disclosed to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) a maiden Ore Reserve and updated Mineral Resource at its 100% owned Jadar lithium-borates project in western Serbia. The plant will demonstrate at industrial scale a new spodumene concentration process that provides lithium oxide (Li 2 O) grades and recoveries well above the industry average. This long-life, scaleable project has the potential to have one of the lowest carbon footprints in the industry.
