California Taxi Fleet Operator Orders 25 CNG/LPG Engine Prep Packages for Transit Connect

Santa Ana, California-based California Yellow Cab has ordered 25 units of the compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane (LPG) engine prep package for the Ford Transit Connect Taxi. The flexible interior of the Transit Connect is suited for both taxi service and conversion to CNG and LPG. Propane also burns cleaner than gasoline.

KCL study finds London air pollution from traffic improving, but continues to exceed limits in many parts of city

Researchers looked at changes in a number of pollutants including nitrogen dioxide (NO 2 ), particulate matter as fine (PM 2.5 ) and coarser (PM 10 ) particles, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and black carbon. Overall, there was a decrease in total traffic between 2005 and 2014, mainly explained by the reduction in cars and taxis.
