Under Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030, Mazda aims to reduce corporate average well-to-wheel carbon dioxide emissions to 50% of 2010 levels by 2030, and achieve a 90% reduction by 2050. It intends to achieve this with a policy prioritizing efficiency improvements and measures for cleaner emissions that apply in the real world.

Researchers looked at changes in a number of pollutants including nitrogen dioxide (NO 2 ), particulate matter as fine (PM 2.5 ) and coarser (PM 10 ) particles, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and black carbon. Fitting new exhaust clean-up technology to older buses helped to curb nitrogen dioxide along some of London’s roads.

More than just the gains in horsepower and torque, the new engine offers improvements in noise, vibration and harshness, along with enhanced fuel economy and cleaner emissions.
