Aptera Motors has unveiled its very first production car at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), claiming that the model will be the only solar-powered vehicle on sale to the public when it launches. But weve seen solar-powered vehicles for decades and theyve historically been too impractical for the average person.
Aptera on Wednesday announced that it had completed a working production-intent version of its high-efficiency, three-wheelsolar EV. Aptera has in the past discussed other versions with as much as 1,000 miles of range once power from the solar array is factored in, and 0-60 mph times as low as 3.5 seconds.
