Grant applications are sought to develop new magnetic materials to allow low cost, easily manufacturable permanent magnets with energy products comparable to what is commercially available today with sintered magnets at temperatures up to 240°C. The strength of the current NeFeB PMs is weakened significantly as temperature rises.
