Roland Berger: China is the frontrunner in e-mobility subsidies; sales of xEVs double in Q1

The index, prepared by Roland Berger and fka experts, compares the relative competitive standings of the top seven automotive nations (Germany, France, Italy, the USA, Japan, China and South Korea) in the electromobility segment. Sales of xEVs doubled in China in Q1 2015 from Q1 2014. This makes them less efficient.

Teijin commercializing new high-performance Li-ion separators with flourine-based coating; output improved up to 20%

Teijin’s sales target for its separator business is ¥20 billion (US$260 million) by the year 2020. To support full-scale commercialization, Teijin has established a separator manufacturing company in Asan, South Korea called Teijin CNF Korea Co., to sell both separators. The Seoul-based company began operating in January.
