CARB adopts “smog-check” regulation for heavy-duty trucks and buses

The California Air Resources Board approved a smog-check regulation for medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses. The action taken by CARB will cover roughly 1 million heavy-duty trucks and buses operating in California. These benefits are 18 times the estimated $4-billion cost of the program, CARB said.
