GM China sales top 4M vehicles for the first time in 2017; SUV sales up 37%

General Motors and its joint ventures sold more than 4 million vehicles in China for the first time in 2017. The company benefited from record domestic sales by the Cadillac, Buick and Baojun brands. Cadillac, which has had 22 months in a row of double-digit sales growth, posted a sales increase of 51% to 175,489 units in 2017.
