UK-based Electric Car Corporation Plc ( ECC ) has officially launched an all-electric version of the Citroën C1, the C1 ev’ie. The C1 ev’ie. The Citroën C1 ev’ie is assembled in the UK from the donor car. The C1 ev’ie is priced at £16,850 (US$25,000) and is available directly from ECC.

Monthly fuel economy of the retrofitted Honda Civic during the first 9 months of the fleet test. A Honda Civic hybrid retrofitted with lead-carbon UltraBattery modules ( earlier post ) (provided by East Penn Manufacturing) has recorded more than 100,000 miles (161,000 km) of courier duty in the local area of Phoenix, AZ. Car-sharing operator Zipcar and the Westminster City Council in London have launched a new car sharing club fleet that will initially include 20 hybrid vehicles and will offer members access to the country’s first all-electric car club vehicle, a Citroen c1.

The new zero emission vehicle from Citroen - the C1 ev’ie - will feature in Green Motion’s fleet the company has announced. The car is based on the traditional Citroen C1 chassis and boasts a performance of up to 60mph with a range between 60 and 75 miles on a full charge.
