Singapore will implement a new Carbon Emissions-Based Vehicle Scheme (CEV) on 1 January 2012, providing rebates to qualified new cars, taxis, and imported used cars with low carbon emissions, and imposing an equivalent surcharge on higher emitting vehicles. The new zero emission vehicle from Citroen - the C1 ev’ie - will feature in Green Motion’s fleet the company has announced. The car is based on the traditional Citroen C1 chassis and boasts a performance of up to 60mph with a range between 60 and 75 miles on a full charge.
