BYD has entered the Finnish market for the first time after securing an order for 106 buses with Nobina, one of Finland’s and Scandinavia’s largest Public Transport Operators (PTOs). The announcement also signals a triple landmark, with Nobina becoming the first PTO in Europe to order BYD’s latest 50-foot, three-axle low-floor eBus model.

BYD has begun delivery of Europe’s largest single order for electric buses to Keolis Nederland BV, the Dutch subsidiary of global public transport provider, Keolis. Despite restrictions brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, the BYD eBus fleet has been delivered on time and according to pre-pandemic production schedules.

BYD delivered the first electric bus fleet for public transport in the Caribbean, opening up an exciting new chapter in the region’s efforts to tackle climate change. The Barbados Transport Board recently received 33 BYD battery-electric buses and two more of the 30-foot buses will be delivered by December.
