Thanks to US golf cart maker E-Z-GO , which partnered with National Calendar Day to help establish National Golf Cart Day in celebration of the brand’s 70th anniversary, we can now all celebrate these pint-sized car replacements with their own holiday.

Now let me tell you right off the bat: I did not actually buy this awesome-looking scooter suitcase (scootcase?). But either way, that single or double motor is apparently enough to send this suitcase careening around an airport terminal at a wholly irresponsible 30 km/h (18 mph). In fact, please do not buy this thing.

Capable of a 62 MPH top speed and only around 75 and 110 miles of range per charge, the vehicle’s base model is available for a respectable $4,200. It won’t go over 62 MPH, but it’s another gas car off the road, something that is always a positive. kWh battery and the other a 13.8 kWh battery.

So if you are lucky enough to live in an area that has friendlier golf cart and NEV laws, or simply play your cards right on a busy day at the DMV, you might just be able to slip one of these out onto the streets. Of course, don’t expect that advertised $2,600 price to hold up for very long.

Last week Tesla revealed that its new Model S Plaid EV could reach a speed of near 200 MPH and reach 0 to 60 MPH in 1.99 The fast acceleration capability of electric vehicles was a key component to reducing the “golf cart” image of EVs that existed before the Tesla Model S emerged in 2012.
