Personally, I like sporty commuter cars -- think Honda Civic Si, Volkswagen GTI, that sort of thing. A straight-line mauler like a Hellcat Challenger or Charger?

But the assumption is that people would buy the higher trim due to it boasting more features and a little more power. Affordable fun cars are starting to become hard to find and past examples are being revived as soulless crossover vehicles to be sold to people that just want a commuter car.

There were several issues with the original car that I could have saved loads of time on (especially the transmission) by asking other (non-EV) 914 experts. It also provides an excellent place to buy and sell needed parts far more cheaply than other online sources. I purchased the kit as a no-gasoline commuter car solution.

Plus, who wants to spend $50 or more at the pump when that money could be used for something far more fun? Will everyone need to buy an EV? One potential pathway to reaching these goals is through vehicle electrification (our personal favorite pathway). Not everyone will need to buy an EV– even by 2032.
