HT-PEM fuel cells operate at 120 to 180°C, offer a broad operating window and tolerate impurities in the hydrogen fuel gas. We are committed to building a full loop supply chain for green hydrogen technologies including precious metal services, catalysts, components and recycling.
Since 2005, Van Hool has built 130 hydrogen fuel cell buses. The Van Hool factory in Macedonia is building 900 buses this year; the factory is designed for an annual capacity of 1,000 buses. The Van Hool plant in Morristown (Tennessee, USA) is expected to start building buses from 2022.
Independent research and business intelligence company Rystad Energy estimates that there are about 91 planned hydrogen pipeline projects in the world, totaling 30,300 kilometers and due to come online by around 2035. New hydrogen infrastructure is starting to materialize as the world seeks to accelerate its path to net zero.
