General Motors and its joint ventures’ retail deliveries rose 15% year-on-year to a record 327,037 vehicles in China in October, with Buick posting its best-ever monthly sales. Buick sales gained 42% in October, with monthly sales exceeding 100,000 units for the first time. The increase was led by the Excelle GT and Envision SUV.

In China, the Buick Velite 6 BEV (not built on the Ultium platform) recorded roughly 33,000 sales. This is a new record for Buick in the region, beating all other previous model performances. Li Auto, known for its large range-extender-equipped SUVs, saw continued sales growth in the first half. EVs include BEVs and PHEVs.

Though he ignores the other reasons a wealthy person might buy a Bentley – style, creature comforts, as an indication of socioeconomic status, and so on. Power and top speed may not have been a motivating purchase factor. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be allowed to buy a car that has a high potential top speed.
