The new press is made up of six individual stations which can produce up to 18 parts per minute—more than twice the capacity of the previous press line. In total, 23 new AGVs have been commissioned in the new facilities, with more planned over the next few years.

The clean design is void of cladding, with the only bright-work to be found on the “C40” and “VOLVO” badging. The active bending pixel LED head lights have high beam assist, with LED lighting design continuing to the sidelights, turn indicators, and the brake lights. The rear outbound passengers also get heat.

The active chassis and air suspension ($1,800 option) is a big part of the ride quality along with the double wishbone front suspension with coil springs and a multi-link rear suspension with transverse leaf springs. The brake lights have a unique shape that wraps from the power lift gate to the side panel and up onto the C pillar.
