The new BMW iX3 will be the brand’s first model to also be produced for export at the Shenyang manufacturing facility in China. Diesel car registrations in Europe in 2017 down 7.9%; SUV sales up 19.5%; AFVs up 46% but share still low

In Europe, diesel car registrations fell by 7.9% Gasoline car registrations benefited from the decline of diesel, growing by 10.9% (+760,000 units) to a 50% market share; SUVs led growth with a record 4.56 This was exemplified by registrations of diesel vehicles, which decreased by 20.5% higher than in 2016.

Aral car buying trends study: German new car buyers looking to gasoline, hybrid vehicles

Interest in gasoline engined and hybrid vehicles has jumped in Germany while interest in diesel is falling, according to the latest biennial study on automotive buying trends in that country by leading German fuel retailer Aral. According to the new Trends report, 52% of buyers want a conventional gasoline engine.

KBA: Alternative drives accounted for around 25% of new vehicle sales in Germany in 2020; 13.5% with electric drive

2012 BMW X5 xDrive35d: Steering Recall For Clean-Diesel SUV

Almost 1,000 clean-diesel versions of the 2012 BMW X5 crossover will be recalled to replace a part that could cause the power steering to fail. Only the diesel model, known as the X5 xDrive35d, is affected. The X5 xDrive 35i and 50i versions with gasoline engines are not part of the recall.
