Hyundai Motor Group have introduced a novel snow chain that’s integrated directly into the tire. Korean automakers Hyundai and Kia state that the technology relies on “shape memory alloy modules that are located inside the wheel and tire.” Keeping snow chains on hand is never a bad idea. Hyundai says it’s working on that.

While the ChargePoint device is framed as being free, it does require the purchase of a new automobile through the automaker’s captive finance arm Hyundai Capital America. or from a free-trade agreement partner.
