The brand’s first battery electric vehicle will be revealed globally in 2025 and be on-sale in 2026. In 2026 the Bentley internal combustion line-up will also be pared back to feature only PHEVs, meaning the demise of the W12 and V8 petrol-turbo engines that currently dominate the model line-up. Drive Electric analysis done in March showed the reduction in emissions of vehicles imported since the policy came into effect will save more than 2m tonnes of emissions over the lives of those vehicles, and $100m a year in petrol and diesel. This is still just 1.5% of the entire vehicle fleet. There’s more to do.
