Mercedes-Benz supplying 129 Citaro G hybrid 18m articulated buses to Belgium’s TEC Group

A 14 kW, 220 N·m electric motor is positioned between the engine and the automatic transmission. On overrun or when the bus is braking, the energy recovery phase, the motor acts as a generator to produce electric power, which is briefly stored by the Citaro hybrid in capacitors. Mercedes-Benz calls this the support phase.

Westport and Volvo Car to introduce V90 Bi-Fuel into Belgium and Luxembourg

Volvo Cars launches all-electric Volvo C40 Recharge; all cars to be pure electric by 2030

The C40 Recharge propulsion consists of twin electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear axle, powered by a 78 kWh battery that can be fast-charged to 80% in about 40 minutes. The C40 Recharge will go in production this fall and will be built alongside the XC40 Recharge at the Volvo Cars manufacturing plant in Ghent, Belgium.
