Cummins will expand PEM electrolyzer manufacturing capacity at its Oevel, Belgium, factory to 1 gigawatt with the support from the Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) Hy2Tech program. The expansion in Belgium adds to Cummins’ already scaling global electrolyzer manufacturing footprint.

Together with its customer Apple, DHL is piloting the heavy-duty vehicle, equipped with a fuel cell range extender from VDL, between Breda, the Netherlands, and Brussels, Belgium, as part of the Interreg NW Europe program H2-Share, coordinated by WaterstofNet. It transports deliveries of DHL Express’ customer Apple.

Production outside of Japan began in Belgium in 1963, and since then Honda has been expanding its local production to many countries around the world.

Volvo Cars reported global sales of 48,520 in January, up 2% compared to the same month last year. of all Volvo cars sold globally during the month. The increase was led by markets such as the UK, Italy and Belgium. The share of fully electric cars stood at 16.2%. European sales for January reached 21,436 cars, up 14.7%
