Plug Power Inc. will build a 35-tons-per-day green hydrogen generation plant at Port of Antwerp-Bruges in the heart of Europe. Plug signed a 30-year concession agreement to build the plant at the Belgian port, the second-largest in Europe. Port of Antwerp-Bruges sits in a strategic location in Europe.

Last week, 37 electric vehicle (EV) driver associations from 26 countries, including Plug In America, joined forces to create the Global EV Drivers’ Alliance, building a worldwide EV community. Like Plug In America, the Alliance is calling for every new light-duty passenger vehicle sold in their countries to have a plug by 2030.

Volvo Cars is tripling electric car manufacturing capacity at its plant in Ghent, Belgium as it prepares to meet fast growing demand for its Recharge line-up of chargeable cars. The plant already builds the XC40 Recharge, the company’s first fully electric car, as well as a plug-in hybrid version of the XC40.
