Thanks to US golf cart maker E-Z-GO , which partnered with National Calendar Day to help establish National Golf Cart Day in celebration of the brand’s 70th anniversary, we can now all celebrate these pint-sized car replacements with their own holiday.

Kandi America , best known for its range of electric golf carts and eUTVs, has just unveiled three new electric go-karts designed for off-roading fun. The few electric off-road karts that exist are either designed for children, have specs so pitiful that they ruin the fun, or cost as much as a car.

Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. We'll also be taking Burning Man art projects off petroleum generators by switching them to solar electricity.

I’m talking about Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) , the official term for what many people call Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs). But it doesn’t have to be that way. Err, actually, I probably shouldn’t call them “cars”.
