Advanced Aqueous Lithium-Ion Batteries. The University of Houston (UH) will develop a battery using a novel water-based, lithium-ion chemistry that makes use of sustainable, low-cost, high-energy, organic materials. EnZinc’s porous, sponge-like zinc component prevents battery failure and enables high-power charge and discharge.
