Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time. Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. when bio-batteries are invented (through DNA splicing) you can just swamp them into the EV1 plug and play style) cant do that crap with the Volt.
