Powered by the battery pack alone, the F3DM can travel more than 60 km (38+ miles).

China is starting a program to subsidize buyers of battery-powered and plug-in hybrids. BEIJING—China will subsidize buyers of battery-powered cars and plug-in hybrids under a pilot program aimed at keeping the country competitive in the global race to develop an electric-vehicle industry, but which also risks a public backlash.

Exceeding its initial program targets, the plug-in 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid ( earlier post ) has earned an electric-mode fuel economy rating of 84 miles-per-gallon-equivalent (MPGe) from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). No other minivan has ever come close to this rating. (As All figures from fueleconomy.gov.).
