Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. The fact that no journalists do their research to bring up all those connections is sad, sad. 80 miles was the range of the EV1 with Lead Acid batteries, that GM tried to use because they wanted the project to fail.
