Sustainable repair concept for batteries in 2022. In the second half of 2022, Mercedes-Benz will successively roll out a sustainable repair concept in all van segments to prolong the life cycle of the high-voltage batteries installed in its vehicles.

The second-generation “Voltec” extended range electric powertrain applied in the MY2016 Chevy Volt ( earlier post ) marks a significant evolution in the electric drive technology platform from its first-generation origins. The range-extending engine is a 1.5-liter Typical mode selection during extended range operation.
