There are multiple interesting aspects to the vehicle, including GM’s rationale for offering fast charging as an option (it’s not to go across country), but one of the most manifest when driving the car (aside from the “Wheee!” Currently, DOE data suggests that 90% of charging is done at home. We don’t need as much battery.

Not to be outdone, on Tuesday the Norwegian electric car startup, Think, was in Portland being wooed by the state as one of 8 potential places to site their first car manufacturing facility in the United States. So imagine a million electric cars on US roads which all need to change these batteries in say 2015.
