While the industry is unregulated some of the lads started using electric motors (hub motors) similar to those produced by golden motor and run these pedicabs on the lead acid or gel batteries. It was all fine for about two years until police found out that these are not legal on the public road.

Unlike our fuel powered cars, these cars work on electric motors which basically rely on electrically charged batteries to function. All you have to do to power it up is charge its batteries and you''re good to go! However, it is only recently that cost effective electric cars have started getting manufactured.

PHEVs with "Good Enough to Get Started" batteries. The nonprofit CalCars does conversions to demonstrate new designs and provide a platform for different batteries; we dont sell conversions. Because of Hondas different architecture (the engine runs whenever the motor runs), aftermarket conversion of Hondas are unlikely.
