Barbados receiving 35 BYD electric buses; first electric bus fleet for public transport in the Caribbean

The Barbados Transport Board recently received 33 BYD battery-electric buses and two more of the 30-foot buses will be delivered by December. The bus delivery is an important milestone for the Barbados National Climate Change Plan, which sets a goal of 100% renewable energy and carbon neutrality by 2030.

BYD wins order for another 406 electric buses in Bogotá, Colombia

BYD won an order to deliver another 406 battery-electric buses to the Colombian capital of Bogotá, coming shortly after a previous announcement on 17 December of the delivery of the 470 pure electric buses to the city. BYD opens shop in the Caribbean with 10 new markets planned by the end of 2024
