Today's Junkyard Find is one of those cars, found in a self-service boneyard near Denver, Colorado. The real gray-market cowboys bought the even more powerful 500 SEL, which wasn't even available here until the 1984 model year. I've also found (what was almost certainly) a gray-market W108 proto-S-Class. This car has one.

Today's Junkyard Find , found in a yard just south of Denver , is a nicely preserved example of the final year of the S110 Silvia , as well as of the Datsun name. The final mileage total was just past 200,000 miles, an impressive feat for a car of its era. Make sure you get the Exciting Turbo (sorry, only available in Japan).

French cars and extreme-high-mile machinery are on my list, of course, plus Sawzall roadsters / pickups , art cars and oddball special editions. The Suzuki Equator seems to be the most puzzling of them all , though, and now my decade-long search has unearthed one in a Denver-area car graveyard.
