Mercedes-Benz eActros electric trucks moving to Rotterdam and The Hague

After about a year of intensive practical use by ten customers in Germany and Switzerland, eight of the purely battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks are now successively going to new customers in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Lithium-ion batteries with 240 kWh supply the energy for the eActros.

Tesla celebrates 10,000 Superchargers in Europe

Opel says Ampera was Europe’s best-selling passenger electric-drive vehicle in May

Based on the latest available figures, the Ampera is also the best-selling EV in Germany with a share of more than a third and Switzerland with 44%. A 16 kWh lithium ion battery powers the 111kW/150 hp electric motor of the Ampera. The average year-to-date market share for the Ampera in the Netherlands was more than 50%.

Kolkata Police to add 226 electric vehicles into its fleet

The Kolkata Police has announced that it is going to add 226 electric vehicles into its fleet in order to counter rising diesel prices and to escalate the maintenance costs of diesel-powered vehicles. The adoption of electric vehicles will help to phase out 200 diesel-powered vehicles that are around 15 years old.

Volta Trucks reveals purpose-built full-electric large commercial vehicle for inner city freight distribution: Volta Zero

The Volta Zero will use 160 - 200 kWh of battery power, and Volta Trucks has selected to fit the vehicle with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries instead of a Nickel Cobalt Manganese set up used in most passenger cars. It also provides packaging benefits by freeing up space between the chassis rails.
