The two studies—EPRI-NRDC and ANL—serve as “ excellent bookends ” for comparing minimal and maximal electrification of passenger transportation, the researchers concluded. A significant level of electrification is certainly viable for these vehicles, as BEVs and PHEVs are currently commercially available.
