After all, grid electricity is cleaner and cheaper than gasoline.

Methanol which is produced with CRI’s method is one of the most environmentally friendly liquid fuels availabletoday.
By comparison, NOx emissions in Travis county from motor vehicles totaled approximately 30,000 tons per year in 1996 -- the last year for which complete data was available. (1, like i said in the first place, for me, this makes me think of one step in the right direction and makes me think of a greener cleaner future.
There are trucks and buses being converted commercially today. Already Porsche, Mercedes and other high-end automotive manufacturers are making such PHEVs because of the availability of low-cost electricity from wind and solar and the availability of government incentives which make them competitively priced in the beginning.
Most charge points availabletoday take much longer to re-energize batteries than it does to fill a gas-powered cars tank.
