BMW of North America and Electrify America announced an agreement to provide 2022 BMW EV customers with two years of 30-minute complimentary charging sessions at all Electrify America public charging stations, from the date of vehicle purchase. Additional models and benefits will be announced.

The hybrid models available today use lead-acid ornickel-metal hydride batteries that are are proven, reliable, and fairlycheap, but their limited storage capacity means that the cars’ driving rangeusing electricity alone is short. Witha 60-mile range, most felt the need to recharge after 30 miles or so.

BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. Most charge points available today take much longer to re-energize batteries than it does to fill a gas-powered cars tank. Install 3 miles of charging lane with about the same frequency as Rest Stops.
