PCA Automobiles India (Citroen India) has moved up the ladder board to take fourth position with sale of 2,030 EVs, which gives it a market share of 2.25%. Just 54 units behind Hyundai is BYD India , which sells the Atto 3 SUV, e6 MPV and launched the Seal sedan on March 5. Hyundai’s sibling Kia registered sales of 429 e6 MPVs.

Blue Chicken, Indonesia’s biggest taxi operator, is ready to buy maximum of its unused fleet as electrical cars (EVs) from BYD, in line with a document by means of Bloomberg. and is thinking about electrical fashions from BMW to fulfill the call for for condo automobiles.

Electric PV market leader Tata Motors , which has the largest portfolio comprising the Nexon EV, Tigor EV, Tiago EV, Xpres-T (for fleet buyers) and the Punch EV, has sold an estimated 55,734 units, which helps it maintain its lead with a 70% share in a dynamic market which is seeing rivals roll out new competitive products.

Last week the company announced that it would bring its five-seat E6 electric car in small numbers to the US next year. Beyond manufacturing, subsidies of 50,000 yuan were offered to taxi fleets and local government agencies in 13 cities for each hybrid or electric vehicle they purchased, while research subsidies were also increased.

Apart from catering to family buyers, the three-row EV will be aimed at the fleet segment too, which also enjoys the FAME benefit from the Government of India. Tata Motors has the Tigor X-Pres T EV, BYD has the E6 MPV and few of the Mahindra and MG models are seen in the fleet market, but the segment has remained highly untapped at present.
