The Joylong E6. The Joylong E6 is an electric minibus that can carry up to 17 passengers. We had seen the prototype of this vehicle over a year ago and now Perth based Global Automotive Distributors has waded through the red tape and bureaucracy to bring the E6 to Australia in November.

We are very excited about this opportunity to work together with Daimler, the inventor of the automobile. BYD, also a battery maker, introduced its F3DM dual-mode hybrid electric vehicle in December 2008 ( earlier post ), and will soon officially launch the e6, a pure electric vehicle ( earlier post ).

PCA Automobiles India (Citroen India) has moved up the ladder board to take fourth position with sale of 2,030 EVs, which gives it a market share of 2.25%. Just 54 units behind Hyundai is BYD India , which sells the Atto 3 SUV, e6 MPV and launched the Seal sedan on March 5. Hyundai’s sibling Kia registered sales of 429 e6 MPVs.
