The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (Auto Alliance) is strongly supporting the passage of Maryland’s SB 1234 , a bill that would require the State of Maryland to purchase zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) for state fleets. The bill would take effect 1 July 2018. Maryland is one of nine states that has adopted California’s ZEV Mandate.

General Motors China and China FAW Group Corp. have formed a light commercial vehicle joint venture: FAW-GM Light Duty Commercial Vehicle Co. It is focused on the production and sale of light-duty trucks and vans. The new joint venture includes Ha’erbin Light Vehicle Co., Xu Jianyi, President of FAW.
