ACEA study finds 100-fold increase in zero-emission trucks needed in EU fleet in 10 years to meet goals

A new study by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) has found that there are currently 6.2 million trucks, Poland has the largest truck fleet, followed closely by Germany (1,010,742) and Italy (946,393). Almost 98% of all these trucks run on diesel, according to the 2021 Vehicles in Use report.

EU new-car market suffers worst performance in over two years

The latest data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association ( ACEA ) shows that every powertrain endured a double-digit decline in the month. Only Poland was able to post an improvement, up 2.5%. Yet, BEV volumes in Denmark jumped by 50.8%, as Portugal (up 9.5%), Spain (up 2.5%) and Poland (1%) posted growth.
